(Updated Monday 5th January)

* The Sports Centre car park has only 15 parking bays, plus 3 disabled bays. The bike racks remain open to use (blue square on the map below)
* Where possible we ask that you use the new 80 bay car park by the astro pitch (orange rectangle on the map below)
* In the evenings and weekends the new car park at the front of the site can also be used (yellow square on the map below)
* The Sports Hall, Gymnasium and PE block are now closed with no access to walk through.
* The Multi Purpose Hall is the green rectangle on the map below with the only access via the green arrow
* Can all pedestrians and cyclists please enter and exit site using the Marven Centre gates (yellow arrow on the map below). The gate will be locked between 8.30-3.05pm but can be opened using your sports centre membership card or pressing the intercom button
* The entrance to the site for cars remains the same, as you enter the playground you will drive on a new road to the left around the work compound (see photo below – grey arrows)
* The Multi Purpose Hall and Swimming Pool will be unable from (estimated July 2026) but this has yet to be confirmed.
FAQs
* Will the Fitness Suite remain open during the development?
Yes, the Fitness Suite will remain open throughout the development.
* Will there still be disabled bays and a bike rack?
Yes, there will be at least two disabled bays and the bike racks remain in the same place.
* Is the squash court still open?
Yes, the squash court will remain open throughout the development
* When the Swimming Pool closes, is it a permanent closure or just for the development and will the pool itself change?
The pool will be closed for a period of time during the development and will reopen once work is completed. The pool itself will not change, however the school changing rooms will be fully refurbished with minor changes on poolside itself.
